Profiles

Here's a bunch of information about profiles on this website.

Placement Data

Each profile contains a graph of their total placements. This data is not normalized! This means that, if someone gets third place in a video with 10 people and third place in a video with three people, they will have two third place placements on this graph, despite the fact that one of them was a loss.

This means the placement graph data cannot be compared fairly. When using it, take it with a grain of salt.

Profile Handles

The @handle on a profile is not their social media handle. It is their ID for this website (which is visible in the URL).

I cannot easily change these, but if you really want yours changed, let me know and I can see what I can do.

Avatars

Not all profiles will have an avatar. This is because it is a lot of work for me to download your avatar, compress it, convert it to WEBP, and store it on my server. I've prioritized adding avatars to players who are in a lot of videos, but if you really want me to add your avatar (or change it), feel free to let me know.

Profiles with zero points

Some profiles have zero points. This will be the case if you've only ever come last place in the videos you were in.

Problematic Users

I've chosen to keep profiles for problematic users (such as people who've had a Google Doc written about them on Twitter) for the sake of historical accuracy. But make no mistake, I will not be drawing any attention to these profiles.

I do not invite problematic people to my videos, but occasionally, someone who was in one of my past videos will get exposed for something on Twitter. Obviously, I will never reinvite these people to videos, but I've chosen to keep their profiles for historical accuracy.

Scoring

In order to reward consistency over flukes, the following is used in calculating your score:

  1. Whenever you play in a video, you'll get points! (Assuming you didn't come dead last.)
  2. Points are based on how many people were in the video. The more people you beat, the more points you get!
  3. Players who have been in few videos or in videos with few opponents will have their score nerfed.
  4. Your final score is a weighted average of your score in each video.

Missing Videos

Only videos on this Stats Viewer count for points. Videos are excluded if:

  1. They are only a 1v1
  2. They are not strictly competitive in nature (such as coop videos)
